Love Against Borders
When I graduated college, I was twenty-one and anxious to get out of New York and see the world. I accepted the first job I found: teaching English to children in a small mountain city in Ecuador. The ten-week assignment in a foreign land soon became my life and my home, and, as one may expect, there was a girl. Fantasy Football
The air was thick with testosterone. Deep voices were at a higher pitch and would be close to hoarse in just over an hour. Faces around me were smiling and laughing, some due to the upcoming events, others because of the camaraderie and beer. Gold jerseys far outweighed those of our visitors from across the ditch. As I made my way down the stairs to my seat, I felt relaxed. It was a year since I had seen the Wallabies LIVE. Last time I was a virgin to the game, now a full-fledged groupie. The All Blacks gave us a walloping in New Zealand and the scene was set to even the score at Home.
